IronBike
Day One Media was challenged to create a high impact video to highlight this epic event. IronBike Calgary is an annual 180km fondo cycling event over the Highwood Pass in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada. It is a one-day endurance event open to novice and advanced cyclists.
Our goal was a video that is intense and fast to stir up interest on social media. We directed, shot and edited this trailer in 4 days. This event in past years relied heavily on email and distribution of print brochures to promote the event. With this video, organizers were able to promote a year ahead, creating year-round excitement. This powerful visual is a perfect tool for social media distribution.
Following the promo video, we interviewed participants of the event in our studio and produced this extended version.
Cyclists from IronBike Calgary tell their stories about why they love this annual event. IronBike Calgary happens every September in the heart of Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada for cyclists of all levels.
