Calgary Flood
Gil Ngai
In late June 2013, Alberta received the worst flooding seen in a century. The Bow and Elbow rivers in Calgary overflowed leaving over 20 neigbourhoods in a state of emergency. Many homes were filled with 8ft of water or more, and layers of mud covered many communities. Downtown Calgary was completely shut down as well numerous roads and bridges all over the city. I was asked by Samaritan's Purse Disaster Relief to document some of the worst hit homes in Calgary. View the images will be posted shortly in the Projects gallery.
